this is a long loong looong overdue entry... havent been in the mood to update, or when i haf the mood i dun haf the time.
this sem has come fast and gone fast. it hasn't been a very fruitful sem, and i dun wish to comments on how i fared for the modules i haf taken, coz i've got no idea how the rest of the cohort did, or rather, din dare bother to find out. now tt i come to tink of it, i regret not paying attention to most of the modules and ended up not scoring well enuff and my foundations aren't well-built either. since young, grades do matter to me alot, but recent results proved that i can't be bothered animore... i still worry abt my grades, juz tt ive lost the drive to work hard and study hard. oh wellz i juz gotta stop procrastinating and buck up or else i will end up graduating wif a freakin third class.
things on my to-do list have been accumulating since i've neglected alot of stuff during the term:
- go for a haircut (last one was done 4 months ago)
- burn animes (both hdd running out of space)
- and WATCH them! (i haf so many unwatched series...)
- reformat desktop (got some hdd errors but solved when i cleared the disk, so itz time to do some reformatting)
- do facial (when was the last time i did...?)
- continue wif my foot soak (the body shop footsoak is accumulating dust...)
- spend some time wif family (havent been gg out wif them for a loong time)
- spend more time wif dear :p
- shopping!!! (i wanna buy clothes! i wanna buy bags! i wanna buy shoes! i wanna buy...)
onli managed to get the first thing done right after my jap exam today. the haircut wasn't tt satisfactory, could haf been more layered, but oh wellz at least now itz not tt thick and i could bun it up nicely. one look at it i dun think anione would notice tt ive trimmed my hair (abt 5cm) but when i looked at the floor of the salon i was shocked. din noe i can shed so much hair :p
feeling lazy to write further... shall try to update more often... ja ne...

loong time since i last updated... been too bz wif projects, midterms, projects projects and more projects! heez of coz gotta spend time wif dear oso :) 2 midterms over... flunked both... oh wellz gotta buck up liao...
juz submitted 3215 assignment 3. got another midterm coming thursday as well as 3235 proj deadline on friday, but at least i've done my part for tt. now i realy gotta study for jap, can't flunk tt liao...
on a lighter note, went to shop wif naige ytd, den dear and the rest came to join us to watch 新警察故事. not bad a show, but i feel i was expecting abit more...
heez turning one month this sat :) this one month has been great. :)

10:04 am - beary swollen eyes
|
first the part abt the swollen eyes. i woke up on wed morning realise that my eyes were abit swollen, but nvm i thot tt after i get enuff sleep tt nite and some applications of eye cream the swell will relieve. in the end i woke up wif a bigger swell on thursday so i was gg around wif my eyes half closed so tt my swollen eye wasnt tt obvious. and the stupid bugger has to bug me during CS3212 lect break and i couldn't take it i juz went back to comp club to rest.
den i decided to go YIH to get some medication for the eyes and the doctor gave me some antibiotics, eye drops and ointment. now itz much better :)
thursday... 9th September 2004... i only saw bear b4 CS3235 lect coz he din come for the morn lect. i was very happy to see him wear the shirt tt i gave him on his bdae, coz he has nv worn b4 for the past 1.5 months and i thot he din like it. i was actually looking forward to friday, coz i thot he will pop the ultimate qn on tt day since itz our mutual free day and he did mention tt we might be gg out. was quite disappointed when i heard tt they were gg to haf a proj discussion on friday, so i was thinking oh wellz gotta wait prolly another week more...
den after dinner when he sent me home he suggested to go some place to walk walk or sit down to talk. yea and the moment finally arrived. (details i shall omit :Þ) but he actually took the effort to choose 9th September 2004 9pm++ to ask the qn. im very very happy that all these months of wait have finally reached a conclusion :)

ytd they held a mini celebration for the both of us. not really a celebration, but congratulated us. i'm really very glad that i'm together wif him. LOVE YOU LOTS DEAR!

9:19 am - got my lappy!!! yay!!!

finally, after much hassle and argument (yet again...) i managed to collect my laptop. initially the ppl there din wanna give it to me, coz i onli ordered last friday and they were only calling those who ordered b4 20th august to go collect their laptops. however i persisted and finally one of the guys gave in and juz told the people at the counter to proceed my order. and here am i now using my new lappy :)
den i made a last min decision to stay back in sch after agm last nite, coz there was a chilling out session. so i went home immediately after i collected my laptop to get a set of clothes, as well as to get some software drivers, b4 i rushed back to sch for the agm.
this year's agm was overall very fast and smooth, except for some slight disputes. all of najib's team got in and we were very glad that neng giin won the vote for the only contested post of the external vice president. once again i would like to thank all my frens who have come down to lend your support. :)
den after tt, it was chilling out... we drank, we chatted, we sang and all of us were having a great time. some of us (those who were still awake) went to eat kway chap @ fong seng at 4+am. oh and mike was helping me setup and install some of the basic software onto my lappy. den i took over and setup more stuff and played wif my lappy until ard 6.30am b4 i decided to get some sleep. however i couldn't sleep well coz it was too cold and there weren't any more spare sleeping bags. think i'll juz go back and rest more properly later...
i've truly enjoyed myself for the nite, not to forget the great company i've had... :)

9:24 pm - of elections and emotions
|
been testing out different sleeping hours to see which is more effective. slept on mon from 10-3am, 6-9am and 12-6am on tue. i woke up wif an equally throbbing head for both days. for wed i slept from 10-7am and hmmz this is not too bad, but i guess itz hard to force urself to sleep at 10. so ytd i reverted back to my normal sleeping time. another reason why i slept so earli the past few days was becoz i cant play RO at nite... :'( too laggy... :'(
aniwaez tutorials have started and there are assignments due soon. so far so good, cept cs3212 Programming Languages. the lecturer sux, the lab ta sux, the module itself sux... oh manz hope i can figure out everything soon...
i'm gg to run for the position of marketing chairperson for comp club for the next management committee. juz had a normal interview today and elections is gg to be held next friday. so frens if u r free do come down to support me ok... :) however i was warned of the possible hiccups that might occur during the elections, so i had better mentally be prepared for it by the time comes...
i get ezly upset recently. i dunno why, but i juz feel very disappointed when things dun turn out the way i expect them to be, or things suddenly change into a situation that is not so favourable to me. sometimes itz really hard to overcome these overwhelming emotions. well i guess as naige says, i haf to stop thinking so much and juz live life the way i want. i've come this far, and im not gonna give up...

4:11 am - another loooong day
|
7 hours of sleep was definitely not enuff to recoup the sleep i've lost every now and then. woke up wif a heavy head and headed to sch. started the day off wif our first 3215 consultation. it was juz some Q&A session, nothing fanciful atm since the topics we are covering now are pretty introductory.
headed back to club for lunch and nuahed. wanted to start working on 3215 ass 1 after ROing abit but got 'distracted' in the end so i decided to RO all the way heh. headed to BTP for dinner and pool session ard evening time. i feel tt my aiming has improved after heeding naige's advice. shall tou1 more shi1 from him next time... we played till 11+ den we decided to make a rush for the last bus. i caught mine, but jy and mike din catch the last 66 and they took 154 instead.
now i juz finished piaing the assignment, stupid queries and trees and stuff... meeting up wif my grp later at 10 to consolidate everything. hmm i wun be surprised if i gotta sleep this late often for this sem... juz now i was feeling so tired whilst doing the assignment, and now i dun feel sleepy, but my body is aching all over. arghhh... shall try to get some rest after finishing my cup noodles. bb...

8:20 pm - time flies...
|
itz been nearly 3 weeks since i last blogged... time really flies... FOW is over and i've had 1 week of lecture oredi... tmr's tut registration and one more week tutorials will commence. i'm still in holiday mood, i believe most are... studying's so sianz....
FOW has been a success, though there were some hiccups along the way but everything was still under control. it ended off beautifully wif our float and dance presentation on rag day, which was last sat. most of us yielded tears of joy after seeing our efforts paid off... although we din win anithing, we really enjoyed the process and the frenships we've established...
attended all the lect last week and they are ranked as follows (1 being most interesting):
1. LAJ2202 Japanese 3
2. CS3235 Computer Security
3. CS3215 Software Engineering Project
4. CS3212 Programming Languages
of all my lect i think only jap 3 is webcasted, so i seriously hope tt i wun zao ani lects (not as if i will watch the webcasts even if i zao... but... :p)
caught I.Robot last tue. it was a very impromptu outing. i remembered stepping into comp club at 6+ after my 3215 lect and they were saying they haf extra tix to the 7.15pm I.Robot show at West Mall becoz some of them signed up for the campus card and got the complementary tix. in the end we took a cab down n reached in time to watch the show. itz quite nice and the storyline was quite unique, not bad a show...
den ytd donald invited us to his place for bbq, it was sorta like an appreciation party for all the rag helpers. there was a lot of food, but i din eat much coz i was appetiteless. we played abit of PS2, chatted and chilled out abit, den we finally left his place at ard 1+. reached home at 130am. i realised i havent tried reaching home so late and my mom din nag much. tt's good :) aniwae i've enjoyed great company thro'out the day :)
think i'll stop for now... gotta finish lotsa readings by tmr's 8am lect. tata...

3:42 pm - a physically drained week...
|
it all started wif my sis taking leave on tue & wed becoz she seriously needs a break from her work and it happens tt her boss isn't around this week. so on tue we went to Mac's to eat breakfast b4 proceeding to pasir ris park for cycling. however it started to pour so heavily tt we decided to bowl @ downtown east first b4 gg cycling. man it was quite ex, $3.20 per game during off-peak hours, and student rates only apply to those younger than 18... bleah...
we bowled only 5 games since it wasnt tt cheap and the weather has turned fine. cycled for an hour, den walked along the seaside, picniced abit. we moved off to adam road for a sumptuous dinner b4 gg to my grandma's house. oh ya i realise i've been prone to casualties... i din noe how i cut my pinkie (yet again...) and i knocked my toe into the bike's tyre and now the nail is half-chipped... oh wellz...
on wed my mom and sis wanted to go cycling again, but they were too tired. however my sis wanted to go bowling @ kimseng becoz it was $2 per game and she wanted to make full use of it. in the end we bowled 8 games each. my ave for these 2 days have been pretty consistent but stagnant... gotta do sth abt it to improve...
woke up on thur wif a swollen thumb and my hips were aching badly due to the sliding movement in bowling. mass camp bbq outing was @ nite @ ecp. so i decided to rent the car from thursday instead of from friday-sunday so tt itz more convenient and i could stay out. however car rental companies do not operate on sundays so i was 'forced' to return the car on mon. initially i was pondering whether to rent the car for 4 days @ $80 per day for a 1.6 saloon car. coz our initial plan was to rent the 1.0 Nissan March @ $51 per day for 2 days. in the end i decided to rent it for 4 days and i went to collect the car in the afternoon. and man.. i did not regret the decision i made, coz it was a whole new Hyundai Matrix wif an SFE carplate, and it was quite spacious. so i went to HWZ to settle some marketing stuff b4 gg to sch and ferried some of the ppl off to ecp.
we reached quite late becoz we weren't keen to eat the bbq food, juz had some bites b4 gg to Macs for dinner. den we went to parkway parade to play pool till 3am b4 gg to supper and back to sch. stayed up whole nite coz i was playing RO and when i finally managed to upgrade my job, i received the bad news on sat tt the server is starting to charge on the 27th. dunno whether i shud continue playing using prepaid cards... oh wellz...
den helped hanyong to move out of his hostel from pgp to EA. den sent naige to clementi polyclinic to see a doc coz he fell sick (as he wished... :p). waited for 2 hours in total, den picked up my jc frens, fetched naige back sch and we moved off to buy stuff for the chalet. we intended to haf bbq on fri nite, but it started to rain so we pushed it off to sat. played 1 round of mahjong, den i decided to leave the guys to concuss at 2am to make up for the sleep i lost.
went back to sch on sat afternoon to collect the shirts and settle some financial documents. ferried some ppl to parkway to play pool b4 gg back to the chalet for the bbq. my mom and sis bought some chinchow and fruits for us becoz they went there to cycle. the bbq food was nice... esp the sambal squid... hehe. oh ya and i muz really thank my jc frens for the bdae cake even though it was a very belated celebration. got a hp holder and a very retro bag from huishan. thks dude...
made a last min decision to play mahjong @ bear's house wif naige and his bro. we were all quite tired and seh and by 8am we really cmi... bear concussed while the 3 of us went to yishun to haf breakfast b4 coming back to sch to nap. i let naige drive and i cant believe i even dozed off while he's toking to me...
now here i am blogging this long entry after having a 5-hr nap. oh ya and itz so warm and comfy to sleep in club keke. hmmz dun feel like gg home yet... shall nuah awhile first...

nope i havent neglected my blog, juz couldn't find time, or rather the mood to update it... hmmz it has been an eventful month, of marketing, of camp, of outings and of bdae!
camp's over abt 2 weeks ago, shan mention much coz im one of the organizers heh, later ppl think i 自吹自擂. but im glad tt everyone has enjoyed themselves, it was a success :)
and yea i juz turned 21 ytd! thanx to all who sent their regards thro sms/msn/wom (sorrie i havent logged on to icq heh) and thanx to all who celebrated for me and gave me nice nice pressies heez... wanted to hold a party this yr but changed my mind due to unforeseen circumstances, nvtheless had a great time gathering wif all! thankew so much!
now itz back to more ROing and marketing... still got some issues to settle. ttfn...

i finally got the mood to update my long-abandoned journal (not really tt long, but well...)
i was finally informed to start my 3-day job (which ended up to be 2 days onli bcoz their target has been reached) last friday. and it was no ez money man... esp on the first day when we were assigned to this ulu fish shop where there were very few customers. only managed to get 8 responses in 4 hours as compared to getting 16 responses in 2 hours the next day. earned $130 in total, but i think i've spent nearly most of it... on food, vcds, pool...
other than work i managed to earn some extra income (not very much though) from mahjong. played mahjong wif family almost every weekend and oso once wif aaron and his frens. think there are more to come lolz...
marketing stuff is more or less settled, after making 4 trips to AIA and making plenty of calls. they even invited us to an appreciation dinner, how nice! and i got 2 more positive responses today. itz not too bad after all :)
as for camp... hmm one more week to pre camp. think i shall make use of this opportunity to publicise abit... to all gers out there, pls join us during the camp. itz gonna be full of fun-filled activities! leave me a msg if u r interested kkz? :)
oh yaz... i wanted to setup the other pc tt's been rotting in one corner of my house for like... the past 2 years? den i realised tt i dun haf a spare mouse... i thot my sis used to buy a lot of mice but i reached the conclusion that apparently she gave them all away after ransacking the whole house. thanks to all who offered their spare mice to me, but think im gonna buy a new set of keyboard + mouse and pass the current set im using to tt pc.

12:04 pm - another week passed...
|
hmm wad haf i been doing... lotsa marketing, met up wif 2 companies. watched day after tomorrow (itz a nice show!), dled the rest, planning to watch them when i haf the time. went to food fest @ expo, there were lotsa ppl and wherever there are free samples, they will all swarm to tt stall. typical singaporeans..?
ya and till now i still hasn't started my 3-day job. some efficient company... i seriously hope tt it will be postponed all the way till next week coz im gonna be bz this week. no doubt marketing is tedious, but im glad tt im starting to enjoy it... :)

i'm stressed... by marketing. things havent been very positive, we are still lacking some items and i got rejected by more companies today. to imagine that i was rejected 30 min after i faxed in my proposal (y dun directly reject me when i made the call to send the proposal, waste my effort and time of faxing...) oh wellz gotta make more calls and more calls and yet more calls.
i'm appetiteless... probably due to the stress. only had an egg tart and curry puff for lunch, filet-o-fish and tea for dinner. juz dun feel like eating.
i'm tired and sehhh... im a pig, i need alot of sleep. i dun wake up b4 12 noon during the holidays, so during the days which i haf to wake up earlier i will be in a daze. alot of ppl said i looked tired once i stepped into club this morning. i can actually 'brighten up' to look more refreshed, but i dun see the point to.
i'm blur... probably due to the exhaustion and stress. keep typing wrong things in the wrong proposals, calling the wrong ppl, mixing things up. and i juz realised tt i left something in the club, not tt impt but, cant help to slap myself for being so blur and forgetful.
i'm drained... after churning out THE proposal tt's been overdue for weeks. i simply din noe wad to do for the past few weeks. kinda 'forced' myself to stay in sch to settle it once and for all, but itz still not complete yet. shall neaten it later.
i'm stubborn... i admit. even if i may feel extremely stressed on the inside, i wun show too much of it on the outside. even if im trapped/stuck i most probably wun approach other ppl for help and try to solve the problem on my own. itz very unhealthy, but sometimes i juz can't help it. unless ppl initiate the offer, i wun ask for help. haiii y am i so stubborn...
i'm disappointed... becoz things aren't happening the way i want them to (it happens all the time... life is like tt isn't it...) i'm beginning to feel tt all my efforts are futile.
itz a pessimistic post. oh wellz itz been one of my down days...

went for a job interview at SGX I on tuesday wif wq and was informed today tt we got the job. it was to do some marketing survey on fish food (thanx shiwen for the lobang)
hmm been doing marketing stuff and playing alot of RO recently, but cant play for long since they are gg to charge us. time to search for new games to play... oh wellz...

im getting lazier to update :p well let's see wad i did for the past few days
tuesday
went to get binbin's pressie - sony ericsson bluetooth earpiece. did a lil shopping for vcds and bought myself a top.
wednesday
was called by sooyam to attend MC meeting. more responsibilities, hope i can cope. den watched the guys played d2 for a while b4 gg to play pool.
thursday
didi organised a bowling outing. i maintained my average, not bad considering the last time i bowled was during IFG, which was last december. then we all went to play pool (again, but fun) think itz time for me to practise more to improve my aiming. den the guys went to haf dinner at BK and went to drink coffee after tt. din join them coz i gotta go home for dinner. think pool and bowling dun go together, coz all of us were like mentally drained after tt. but it was enjoyable =)
friday
binbin's bdae celebration @ cafe cartel @ PS. there were 11 of us (the usual 10 + the female lead =Þ). we had to split 2 tables coz there weren't big tables to accomodate all of us, quite sad. and the food orders were messed up, some of our food came quite late as a result. i had fish and prawn combo, itz quite okay cept tt the fries tasted horrible due to the long wait for others' food to arrive. we wanted to adjourn to somewhere else for some drinks after dinner. so we walked from PS all the way to wisma, wanting to try out Indochine (the new bar outside wisma). but they were only serving dinner coz it was still quite early. we walked around in circles until we settled down at europa. the guys had beer and the gers had vodka lime. the vodka lime tastes like lemonade, wasnt good at all, but thanks binbin for the treat aniwae. it was a day of torture for the feet.
saturday
CISAA homecoming day, an alumni event. was asked to put up a song performance, ended up being the only one performing as binbin had bdae celebration elsewhere. also engaged in some networking in hope of getting some sponsorship for FOCC. oh and i actually won a slow cooker during the lucky draw, but swapped wif someone else who nids it more than i do and i brought home an iron instead. went back to club after the event to rest while waiting for my sis to pick me up. the guys were gg to have an overnite drinking and d2 party hurhur. wanted to go for supper (coz i din haf a proper dinner wif all the networking) but my sis came early so i went home instead. the homecoming was quite an enriching experience and i definitely enjoyed the company =) though it was another day of torture for the feet, coz i was standing in my heels all day long and now my toes are blistered :'(
sunday
twas yunzhe's bdae. we went to party world @ oriental to sing for abt 5 hours b4 we went to 鼎泰丰 (not very sure of the name, cant rem) @ paragon for some 拉面 and 小笼包. i still prefer crystal jade, though itz much cheaper.
results gonna be out in 2 days' time, hope i can at least maintain =S. well as for the week ahead, itz gonna be more marketing. hope i can get more sponsors =S. ttfn
